Turnquist Partners shows high-tech commitment to agents and clients

Some real estate companies say they support their agents with the latest technology and some real estate companies put it right in their mission statement.

And right on the home page of their web site.

Turnquist Partners, based in Austin, TX., is one of those real estate companies that walks the talk.

“Our business philosophy embodies a commitment from our associates to provide the highest degree of knowledge and expertise needs to meet our clients’ real estate needs,” states their web site. “Sales associates are provided with state-of-the art computer resources and tools to facilitate this service.”

One of those state-of-the-art resources is up there in the right hand corner of the homepage – the SpatialMatch IDX Real Estate and Lifestyle search engine tool.

Robert Kenney, spokesperson for Turnquist, said previously they used Google mapping, but that it lacked “pizzazz.”

“We use SpatialMatch primarily as a home search tool for our clients,” he said. “The cool thing we like about it is that is incorporates lifestyle information into the search.”

An independent, locally-owned, full-service brokerage, with 120 agents, three offices and a Farm and Ranch division, Turnquist Partners covers the Austin area like a blanket.

And SpatialMatch provides the materials for that blanket with more than 100 layers of hyper-local data covering everything from schools to restaurants to municipal boundaries.

Kenney said his office is seeing more and more consumers who are including lifestyle requests in their criteria for a home.

“We had one client who wanted to be a certain bicycle distance from Whole Foods,” he said. “And we found him a home. You have to provide consumers with what they are looking for or they will go somewhere else.”

Since they embedded the SpatialMatch tool on their site more than a year ago, Kenney said they have seen “quite a bit of activity” with the search database.

Those searches can also be saved or emailed for review by friends or later reference.

Kenney said the lifestyle database fits in great with a town that prides itself on all the unique amenities it provides and kept busy with 50,000 University of Texas students, Dell computers and activity generated as the location of the state capital.

“Austin is a small town with a big attitude,” he said. “You can walk down the street and still bump into people you know.”

A progressive town requires a progressive approach to business. By adding SpatialMatch, Turnquist Partners proves they have a true commitment to staying on the leading edge.
