SpatialMatch featured in major US newspaper

You know the feeling you get when your name is mentioned (for positive reasons) in the newspaper?

Maybe the local paper wrote a story on you. Or printed your letter to the editor. Or took a photo of you.

Come on, admit it.  That recognition is sort of magical.

The staff at SpatialMatch enjoyed that experience this week after our lifestyle search engine and one of our customers was featured on Cincinnati.com.

That’s the online site for the Cincinnati Enquirer and the 3rd most popular city website in the nation with nearly 3 million visitors per month.

Reporter Lisa Bernard-Kuhn spotted a good story idea when she learned that Comey & Shepherd Realtors recently added a Lifestyle Map Search section to their website using SpatialMatch technology.

Scott Nelson, CEO of Comey & Shepherd told her “Essentially it’s a much more complete mapping tool that allows people to individualize their search and plot their lifestyle preferences.”

He said the feedback has been very good.

SpatialMatch is a feature “meant to enhance a homebuyer’s ability to get a variety of information they think is important for the properties that they might be interested in.,” he added. “It’s an evolution in the industry.”

Thanks Scott, you nailed it.

Our own Melissa Pedersen, director of business development at Home Junction Inc. which developed SpatialMatch, was also quoted in the article.

“When people move, they’re moving their whole life,” she said. “If they have children, they want to know where the schools are in relation to their home. They want to know where the grocery stores are, or how long they’re going to have to commute to work.

“With SpatialMatch, you can see how everything that’s important to you correlates together and from there you can delve into the three-bedroom, two-bath houses that are in your price range.”

Later we asked her how the interview went and she commented that the reporter was impressed with our technology.

All indications are that for those in the real estate business, SpatialMatch is the NEW BUZZ.

Don’t just take our word for it. Read the newspapers.  (Click here to see full article).
