Add real estate data screenshots to add punch to your videos

There’s no question this is the era of the video. Research shows, that when consumers visit a web page, one of the first things they will do is watch a video.

One expert says there are three things you need to pay attention to when creating a real estate video.

Those key elements to keep in mind is when making a video: give them a Taste of what great info is about to come, then help them Touch the experience with sounds and strong visuals and then Tell a Story about the location that evokes positive feelings.

But people are always skeptical, and it’s always good to back up your claims with solid hyper local real estate data.

One way to spruce up any video is to complement any visuals with screenshots of data and maps that you can provide with the SpatialMatch real estate platform.

Let’s get back to the three Ts. When it comes to starting a video, you want to give viewers a Taste of what’s to come. Picture a few strong visuals – say there is a great school in the neighborhood. Or a fantastic park. Or perhaps a quaint downtown.

Those shots will look very appealing. Tease the viewer with some quick scenes of those amenities. But when you do that, insert a few screenshots of the important data that solidifies why these places are great amenities.

For example, intersperse data about the local middle school. The number of students. The student/teacher ratios. The demographics of the student body.

Or, you can intersperse a chart showing trends in home sales or home prices. These items are not necessarily eye-candy like a shot of a great playground or running trails, but they are certainly of huge interest to a home buyer who is about to sign a 30-year mortgage for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The next bit of advice is to Touch It – give viewers a close up, birds eye view of local amenities. Walk right up to to a cool library building with happy people walking about. Take a stroll through a leafy park with the sun shining through. Let them listen to local kids having fun at the local skate park. Film a local fair or festival to show how the local community is very active.

Finally, the third bit of advice is to Tell a Story (just like you would in a Hollywood movie). Tell the story of how a family will find happiness in their new home in this wonderful new neighborhood.

But back that story up with facts – show maps indicating just how close those amenities are to a particular home. Add a few screenshots showing a list of all the great schools near that home. Provide screen shots of comparative home sales to let the buyer know they are getting a solid deal.

Because one thing about this video, it’s meant to be a documentary, not a make-believe story. So like any documentary, you need to add as many facts as possible to make it convincing. SpatialMatch gives you the tools and data to accomplish that.
