If Superman can reinvent himself, so can you

Believe it or not, get ready for the hype. There is another Superman movie coming out in June.

Called The Man of Steel, the story involves Superman’s quest to save his home planet of Krypton.

Think about it. Superman first appeared as a comic book in 1932. He was born in Cleveland, of all places.

That’s more than 70 years ago. By now Superman should be a senior citizen retired on a golf course and hitting the ball 8000 yards.

He’s been in a TV series, countless movies and even a series about his childhood – Smallville. Yet, he keeps coming back.

The point is. Superman keeps reinventing himself (well, rather, his keepers keep reinventing him).

When it comes to selling homes, every market has a “super-agent.” The guy or gal who had all the connections, had all the billboards, had all those referrals.

Where is that agent now? Still working. Maybe not. Maybe playing golf with Superman, or getting ready to.

But guess what, his or her returning customer referrals are starting to dwindle, because they are retiring as well.

The new age homes buyers and sellers are no longer as interested in the super-agent at the local event because they aren’t going to the event to find an agent or broker. They are turning to the Internet.

There’s the opportunity. Super-agents rise and fall. And just like they keep reinventing Superman, as a real estate professional and you can reinvent yourself. If you are a super-agent, you remain one. If you are aspiring to become a super-agent, you now have a way to make that happen.
The beauty of this modern day and age of the Internet, is that there are plenty of tools out there to enable you to do this. Tools that will give you superpowers.

Consider the real estate map and IDX called SpatialMatch.

The old super-agents had to know the neighborhood as well as they could. But they were severely limited by what they could remember.

As a super-agent of today, with SpatialMatch, you can have knowledge of an entire neighborhood embedded on your computer.  You not only have all the businesses, schools, parks, government building at your fingertips, but you have the relative distance of those entities from any property at your fingertips. Not a phone book, But millions of bits of data. Searchable data. Current data. Detailed data.

And you don’t have to pull up an MLS and then keep switching back and forth back to a map. With SpatialMatch, they are combined. Look up a home on the map that a prospect likes. Start looking for landmarks in the surrounding neighborhood they will love. All on the same screen.

In essence you can combine super-powers.

There’s more. With your computer, you can show recent home sales.

You can save your search. You can email that search to a prospect. Even when you are home and people are searching your website, you can have them give you their contact information (a lead) when they are using your super-tools to search for homes and amenities on SpatialMatch.

It seems incredible if you think about it. You have amazingly detailed knowledge about homes for sale in your marketplace, schools in your marketplace and amenities in your marketplace.

You literally have a big chunk of the real estate universe under your control.

That makes you a super-agent, the new Superman on the block.
