A very popular word is the word “fitness.” Use it in real estate.

One of the most popular words in the English language has got to be the word “fitness.”
Look at any magazine rack. The word fitness or words related to fitness cover every cover.
“Top 10 Ways To Lose 10 Pounds”
“Cut Inches Off Your Tummy With This Simple Trick”
People eat this stuff up. (Too bad they eat up other stuff as well).
Why not market a property the same way? And with the right neighborhood map search tool designed specifically for real estate agents and brokers, it is easy to do.
Money magazine recently created one of the popular “Best Places” lists that covered “Best Places to Get In Shape.”
We’re sure it generated readers, just like all their other “Best Places” articles.
Why not copy the Money formula?
With a neighborhood search tool such as SpatialMatch, you can advertise any property as a “great place to get and stay in shape.”
Here’s the criteria that Money used. Naturally, you can use your own as well.
They checked different cities for: ratio of gyms and fitness centers to population, ratio of diet and weight loss centers to population, number of “slow food” versus fast food restaurants and percent of population that walks or bikes.
Okay, great, start with those factors.
With SpatialMatch and its enormous neighborhood data widget mixed with an IDX, a broker or agent will literally have access to the location of all local businesses and their relative distance to any MLS listing under consideration.
For example, an agent can take Property A, perhaps not a very exciting property or one that has been on the market for some time, and create a whole new marketing campaign.
“THE great place to stay in shape” could be the local classified headline.
When buyers respond, with the SpatialMatch tool an agent can show them all the amenities that meet that description.
Perhaps there are five gyms within 10 miles of Property A.
Here are two diet centers within five miles.
Does the buyer and their family want to eat healthy foods? Of course they do!
On SpatialMatch an agent can show the location of health food stores, vegan restaurants, or restaurants that offer low-cal dishes as opposed to high-cal Mc Burgers.
After a brief interview, the savvy agent finds out that Mr. and Mrs. Buyer like to walk. Or jog. Or bicycle.
Well, with SpatialMatch, here are the locations of great jogging trails and bike paths.
An agent can actually draw on the map and show great and safe biking and jogging streets with few cars and wide sidewalks.
With our sedentary lifestyles sitting in front of computers all day (author included), getting in shape probably has appeal to 99% of Americans.
Like all those magazines at the supermarket counter, use this benefit to attract buyers and use it to persuade sellers on another way you will market their property.
And use the right map-based neighborhood search tool to make it happen. For more information about SpatialMatch, click here.
