Get on the real estate bandwagon for “lifestyle marketing” to close more deals

Notice how the world seems to be getting more fragmented. There isn’t just rock music any more. There’s classic rock, hard rock, soft rock, heavy metal, alt rock, etc. etc.
The same thing is happening in real estate. Brokers and agents are realizing the benefits of specializing in a particular niche.
It’s called “lifestyle marketing” and according to real estate expert Bernice Ross, “it’s one of the hottest trends” taking place in the business.
Bernice recently focused on this topic in a blog she wrote: “Lifestyle-savvy real estate brands. How to give your business a competitive edge.”
She states: “Developing a lifestyle approach to your business can give you a huge competitive advantage. Not only will you attract the right clients for your business, you will also increase your online rankings.”
How do you do it? She elaborates:
“To achieve this goal, adjust your marketing materials to fit micromarkets such as a 250 patio-home golf development, downtown loft living or a specific market segment such as relocation, bank-owned properties (REOs) or short sales.”
If you are going to follow this advice about lifestyle marketing, one of the best promotional tools you can use is a neighborhood  lifestyle search engine, such as the one offered by SpatialMatch. It was designed for this new type of marketing.
SpatialMatch is a map-based platform filled with billions of bits of hyper-local  data – 12 million businesses, 130,000 schools and millions of homes. You embed this techonology right onto your site.
For example, if you wanted to specialize in golf communities, you could use SpatialMatch to create a separate page(s) on your site with a map for each golf community.
You could then display all the homes for sale on the map within those communities.
On top of that, you could display homes near the golf community for sale.
And what do golfers love more than their own golf course? Other golf courses. To expand on your expertise, you could use SpatialMatch to display other golf courses in the area…and radius distance circles showing how far away they are from any property.
Now that’s lifestyle marketing. (And Google is going to pick up on ALL that relevant lifestyle data you have displayed from SpatialMatch and reward you with higher search rankings. Now that’s search engine optimization).
In her blog, Ross points out a very innovative real estate brokerage that is already using SpatialMatch technology – The Good Life Team in Austin, TX (www.goodlife.com)
As the veteran real estate speaker, author and trainer points out, it all comes down to this: “As an individual agent, you can use lifestyle marketing to win more listings and to close more deals, especially if your brokerage partners you with a lifestyle brand.”
That’s certainly a good reason to heed her advice. Be sure to read Bernice’s full column here.
